(09-27-04 Brief update on my dad. My father has been put into a Hospice Nursing Facility. He was transferred there from the hospital. His blood is badly infected and contaminated. At this point all medical treatments have been stopped and hospice care is just trying to make him comfortable. Please keep him in your prayers. You can still send cards or donations, if you like. My father don't have any burial/life insurance and I am trying to raise money for burial cost. Thank you so much for visiting.

(09-09-04 HI EVERYONE! I just wanted everyone to know how my dad is doing...i had to call for emergency for my dad. He went in the hospital 09-07-04. Emergency admitted him, his kidneys is getting worst & failing him. I was told today that he was given 2 pints of blood and he is resting. Doctors are just monitoring him to see how things will go. Just everyone please keep him in your prayers. Thanks!

Dad is still hanging on in there thanks to all of your prayers! I appreciate all of you for thinking about my and me as well. Thank you! Well keep those cards coming this is the best. My dad look forward to getting the cards this is a big highlight of his life and it lifts his spirits...thanks everyone again!

(08-07-04 got 1 new card today! Hi everyone just checking in again. I'm still working on my ebook store...its going kind of slow. I had to move my dad from his small bedroom. He was just not happy in there, the room is very small and not much of a view. He said he's tired of these 4 walls...so i moved him in the dining room where yeah there is 4 walls as well but the room is much bigger and he can see people go by him. That kind of made him feel better. He is weak and fragile but he likes to look around. Now he can see josie our dog when she runs through the apartment. And me and my daugther we go back and forth through there to get to our rooms. It was difficult move because I can't lift my dad...my brothers came to help and my father was ecstatic to see them. He don't see my brothers that much. Boy did we have a time putting that hospital bed back together ughhhh, but we finally got it. My dad did not enjoy sitting in his wheelchair waiting for his bed...he was so happy to be able to lay back down. He is just so weak and have lost so much weight. My dad before he came down sick was 206 lbs solid...the doctor estimates he weighs about 150 now. He don't eat much, he mostly just like to drink juice...the food he says make him feel sick to the stomach at times. (08-02-04 got 1 new card today! Hey everyone just checking in with you all. I am continually amaze at all the caring, loving, concern people out there. This really helps me a lot to get through this hard time with slowly watching my father die away. I have never experience anything like this in my life, its kind of scary I must say. There have been times I break out in a cold sweat. I have suffered with panic attacks for the last 10 years. Lately, I have been very anxious about things. I guess I worry about my dad dying more and more each day. But, then I think about I am not alone there are so many caring, loving people out there that have showed their love, and concern toward my father and me as well. I just want to say I appreciate you all! Well enough about me.
My father is basically still the same. He is just tired and in pain alot. He is back at the stage where he don't want his medications...he says they make him feel sick and the room is like its spinning. He says he feel better without taking all the medications. They do cause side effects. I don't push it with him about taking the medications...if he feels better without it I just let him be. He is just tired and just ready to give up it seems. He says he wish God will just take him on with him...because he is just tired that is all. I told him to stop saying that, that its not his time and just be glad to be still alive. He says I just don't know how he feels, and I guess he is right, because I'm not slowly dying from kidney failure. Sometimes I am just lost for words what to tell my dad and I just get quiet and say nothing. Well this is all for now. I have kind of turned this page into a journal of sort...every now and then I just like to share my thoughts and how my dad is coming along. So everyone just keep us in your prayers and again I appreciate you all for what you do!

(07-20-04 PLEASE READ UDATE) Hi everyone please bear with me this update is kind of longgggg! Just wanted to check in with a little update on things. First I wanted to say thanks to all that sign my guestbook! I finally got around to reading the entries in it and boy! was I surprise of all the kind words from people. It really touch my heart and I cried. This journey have not been easy I have health problems myself and I have my dad to take care of. He is still hanging on I must say he is very, very weak and fragile. The doctor comes to our place and he is surprise that my dad is still here. But, its God that sustains my dad life and the many people that pray for him, I know this. He use to enjoy looking at TV but the christian radio broadcast is all he will listen to these days. I keep the radio on for him 24/7. He listen to it while he just rest.
Well I have been feeling bad myself with my bad back and knee injuries I have from a previous accident. Also, I am trying to raise money for to help me with my dad medical bills, medicine & he has no life/burial insurance. I hate to do this, but I'm not asking for just a handout. What I will be doing to help raise money is selling ebooks here online. I will be posting a link to names of Ebooks I am selling online. Hopefully, people will buy a few Ebooks. They will not cost that much. I'm sure there will be a topic you may find interesting that you would like to read. Please don't anyone be mad at me for asking for your help but its just getting to be too much of a strain on me. I am on social security disability myself and I have my daughter, dog and my dad to take care. Its just kind of getting hard to do it all. I know there are people out there much worst off then me and I am very grateful for what I have. So please once I get the link up please take a look at the Ebooks to see if perhaps there is something there you would like to buy. So bear with me while i prepare the link and please check it out. He only have sight in one eye but he tries hard to look at the cards though. He don't look at much tv these days. He really enjoys just listening to the christian radio channel. Otherwise he is managing.

Just thinking about that one day I may go to check on my dad and he is deceased. My mind keep thinking about what do I do next. I am having trouble sleeping myself and that thought keeps crossing my mind. Well everyone hope you don't mind me sharing what is going on with me. 03-10-04) Got 2 new cards today! Hey everyone! Little update on my dad...well he is still hanging on in there. He is trying to take his medications the doctors gave him but its just causing so much side effects and he feels so sick and don't want to eat lately. He just sleeps alot and stays under all his covers. Have not look at Tv in a couple weeks but i do turn the church program on for him on the radio. He enjoys listening to the gospel music and the preachers. Well everyone just keep him in your prayers always ...thanks.

02-21-04) Got 1 new card today! Update on my dad...he is still hanging on in there. He went through emergency to the hospital because he was not feeling so well. He was having chest pain. He stayed hospitalized for a week. He is back home now. He is doing better and the doctors' said his heart is stable. They are concern about his kidneys and still want to put him on a kidney machine but my dad don't want that ...he want to pass away naturally and not be hooked up to machines. I respect his wishes. He is resting here at home and doing some better. Thank you all for your love, and concern and cards!

He is on a sucker thang want to eat tootsie pops all the time! I scold him but I can't deny him the suckers they make him happy to have. Oh well???

He enjoys when I read his cards to him. That have become a high point for him...waiting to see what wonderful card he have gotten. Keep them coming he enjoys them. He even thinks he may know some of you...since he traveled all over driving those big trucks. Well you never know...thanks everyone for thinking about my dad!

(11-03-03) Got 2 new card today! Update on dad...Well he has been a little weak, fragile. I wish I could get him up more often, but he just too tired these days. He just been sleeping a lot lately and not looking at TV. His sight is very poorly. When I read the cards to him it does make him smile though and that is so nice!

(10-07-03) Got 1 new card today! Update on my dad. Well yesterday 10/06 was my father 70th birthday...well he thinks he is 69 but he is not. Anyhow I am grateful that he has lived to see another year. The doctors' told us last year in December 2002 that they gave him 3 to 6 months to live. But see only God knows my dad is still here! Thank you Jesus...thanks everyone for your prayers they really do work. Oh stay tuned for some pics of my dad. I did take some and they are being developed...now I am not a great photographer so I hope they come out right.

(09-23-03) Got 1 new card today! Update on dad...My dad felt like looking at the wrestling last night. I really was happy for him. Lately, he has been really frail & weak and not interested in TV. He loves wrestling and western movies.
09-19-03) Got 1 new card today! Update on dad...well not much to tell. He is doing ok, he is just tired and sleeps most of the time.
09-13-03) Got 1 new card today! I just wanted say God is good. I had been very concerned about my dad lately. He has been very weak, fragile and not looking at TV at all. But a few days ago he let me sit him on his bed and took a few pics of him. So once I get them developed I will put them on here. Just bear with me because money is tight. So, he is feeling a little better just tired he says.

(08-06-03) Got 1 new card today! Update on my dad. My father has been very weak and have not look at TV in over a week. I was concerned about this. He is having a lot of problems with his site in his right eye. He is blind in the other eye. But, I must say he is in better spirits today and can see a little better and turn the TV on!

(07-14-03) I got 16 cards today! YIPPIEEEEEEEEEEE! I GOT SOME CARDS TODAY! Please people keep sending them. I will be sitting down with my dad reading them to him. Already he is feeling better knowing now what I am doing. He is also, suffering with dementia as well and sometimes his minds come and goes but his spirits have been lifted! THANKS EVERYONE!
